Royal Hyde Park Hotel Reviews page 5
I booked the hotel last minute as I could not get back to where I stayed in London due to the snow. The hotel was adequate and good value for money at 32.50 incl booking fee. It was cleaner than most Bayswater hotels but could have been better, the bed was new and very clean with clean linen and towels, staff OK could have been a little more friendly.
Extraordinary! I felt great staying in your hotel. Warm, friendly staff, great service, nice room... The best! Thank you. I will recommend it to all my friends and hope to be back soon.
Although the room was quite small, it was clean and renovated. The bathroom was very small but clean. People in the service were very friendly. Metro is just a few metres from the hotel and the neighbourhood has many restaurants. It is a good option for cheap accommodation especially for young people.
If you are staying in London like me just for couple of days then it's probably the best choice for this price. It's a very good location, just opposite to the Bayswater station and a walking distance to Paddington station. Staff friendly. Room/bathroom nice and clean with the minimum you need but that's it (to my surprise there was broadband, TV, hairdryer included). The breakfast was more than I expected for this hotel (toast with either orange or other jam or cheese or cereals or fresh croissants, two types of juice, coffee or tea, whatever). I had a problem with unlocking the door but otherwise after a few trials I realised that the door was immediately locked after I opened it (I think it was for safety reasons). This is a decent hotel, I would recommend for a short trip, or restricted funds (but it is still a good value).
This is a gem of a hotel if you're looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful. We found it clean and presentable, and in a great location, just seconds from the tube station and on Queensway where there are plenty of restaurants to keep you amused! The staff were all courteous and polite. We will definitely be staying there again.
Nice hotel, the only problem was the shower cubicle was far too small, I struggled to get in.
Quite acceptable. The rooms are small but clean and warm and the staff are helpful. I didn't like the first room that was offered to me, but I was able to move to another one with a newly renovated bathroom and a very comfortable bed. I liked the location although it was a bit noisy.
Hotel is quite clean and in a central location - but rooms are very noisy with intense sounds and lights from Queensway high street below
Very small room with just about adequate facilities. Helpful staff. Appalling smell in room entrance (carpet). Cheap for London - wouldn't recommend it.
Royal Hyde Park Hotel was somewhere for us to get our heads down for a night and for that it served its purpose. On arrival we were allocated a family room free of charge, so we welcomed the extra space as some of the reviews we had read prior to our stay insisted the rooms were small, we were however put over a rather noisy extractor fan coming from one of the shops/restaurants beneath the hotel, but once we shut the windows and turned on the adequate air con the sound was soon drowned out. A lick of paint wouldn't have gone amiss, but to sum up it is convenient to local tourist attractions and it was a pleasant stay for a reasonable price.
