Exit the M8 at Junction 1 and take the A720. Drive south along the bypass and then take the first exit off the road onto the A71. Continue straight along this road until you come to the junction with the A70, then take a sharp right here. Take the first left onto Harrison Road, then go straight across Polwarth Terrace onto Gillsland Road. Turn left again onto Spylaw Road and then left onto Ettrick Road. Royal Ettrick Hotel is situated on the left. |

| Good unfussy service. My 72 year old mother and I found our single rooms perfectly adequate. Breakfast fine and evening meals good. Paintwork etc slightly shabby, but overall good value for the price. |
