The room was filthy. There was damp down the wall, ripped wallpaper, the window didn't shut as the handle had broken. The blankets on the bed were grubby and too well worn, two bulbs not working. Disgusting! There was a air conditioning fan / heater hanging by a thread on the ceiling in the dining room, situated above 2 dining chairs. If this was to fall and land on anyone, let alone a child or elderly person, it could potentially really hurt them! The hotel needs a complete refurbishment. Not good at all. The only positive side was the staff that are so clearly under valued here

Queens Park Hotel is definitely a budget hotel, very basic so don't expect too much! Smallish room and very basic facilities, but for the price it is definitely worth it. Also in a good location and the staff were friendly. Recommend

I stayed at the Queens Park hotel 6 nights in Oct. The staff were very pleasant, the breakfasts were adequate, and the room was very small, but clean. The decor was old and somewhat run-down, but the location was good, close to buses and tube. The main downside was that it was very noisy at night, from a club or something on the street below the room

The room in the hotel, although small, was very clean. The only criticism I have is lack of choice from the continental breakfast buffet. All the staff were pleasant

Excellent location! Good value for money. Staff is very polite and always there to help. The only minus would be choice of breakfast - bread, butter, marmalade, fruit salad, cornflakes + milk, tea or juice. It is OK for 1 or 2 days but after 3 days you just need a change. It would be great if some yoghurt, ham and eggs even hard boiled could be added on some days. Otherwise for every recommendation
