Plas Gwyn Halls is situated in the picturesque village of Llandaff, so you can explore attractions like Llandaff Cathedral before taking the short journey into Cardiff City Centre via bus. Directions

By Train

If you want to travel to Plas Gwyn Halls via train, you should travel to Cardiff Central Train Station. You will need to catch a bus from here.

By Car

From the M4 West – Exit at junction 29 onto the A48 (M) and drive on this road for approximately 6 miles. Pass through the traffic lights near the Tesco Extra and stay in the left hand lane. Head under the footbridge (Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Llandaff Campus can be seen on the right, by the footbridge), through the next traffic lights and then take the left hand fork in the road signposted Llandaff. At the next traffic lights, turn right. Go through the next lights and stay on Cardiff Road until you need to turn left at the mini roundabout onto Llantrisant Road. You should then take a left into the Plas Gwyn Halls Campus where you will find your accommodation.

From the M4 East – Exit at junction 30 and then get onto the A4232 North Pentwyn link road. From here you should join the A48(M) heading towards Cardiff, and follow the rest of the directions above to get to Plas Gwyn Halls Cardiff.

From North Wales – You should travel on the A470 towards Cardiff city centre. When you get to the Gabalfa roundabout, you need to take the 4th exit onto the A48. Then follow the directions above to get to Plas Gwyn Halls.

By Bus

There is a bus station just outside the main exit at Cardiff Train Station. You should catch the number 62 bus from here and get off at BBC Wales. This is just opposite Plas Gwyn Halls.

Good and clear instuctions and information. Loads of parking space. Rooms clean but basic, kitchen available but bring your own crockery and cutlery etc. Plas Gwyn Halls is ideal for a cheap couple of nights in Cardiff, close to city centre
