Oxford Hotel London Reviews
Very friendly staff. Room surprisingly small, tap loose on sink, breakfast disappointing, dining rooms again too small to deal with flow of visitors. Convenient location. Reasonably priced
Oxford Hotel London was close to all amenities, shops, tube, pubs, restaurants etc. It was in a quiet side street. The rooms were clean and adequate. We were in studio 2 a few doors down from the main building. We had problems with the TV not working, the sink very slow in draining and the shower was giving either hot or cold water and at times a nice temperature, mostly tempremental. We complained and were told they would try to fix the TV and sink but the shower would take longer (no false promises). By the evening TV and sink were fixed. The receptionist was most pleasant, helpful and understanding. The breakfast was fairly basic - toast, jam, tea, coffee, fruit juice, and sliced cheese, certainly room for improvement I would suggest perhaps some fresh croissants, yoghurt and cereal. The lift didn't work one morning but by the evening it was fixed. Despite all this, I would recommend this hotel and would return on future visits
The Oxford Hotel London is in a very convenient location. It is less than 5 minutes walk away from Earls Court. The room was very small. It reminded me of a tiny hostel box room. The bathroom had a shower, toilet and sink and was tiny also. The TV (which has satellite channels) was high up on the wall which was a little awkward to watch, there is no A/C but a fan on the wall, this could make the room uncomfortably hot in the summer months. There was a fridge, a tiny wardrobe with hangers, kettle and coffee/tea available. No water or other drinks in the fridge, but this isn't a problem as there's a Marks and Spencer supermarket and Oddbins wine shop at the end of the road. There are also lots of food shops, banks, etc on the main road (Earls Court Road). The hotel boasts wi-fi access but when I checked in and asked them for the code the receptionist informed me that it wasn't working but there were coin-operated terminals. Breakfast was not the best. No cereal. Toast, a selection of jams and butter, cheese, orange juice and coffee. The room doors and main hotel entrance door are operated with an electronic card which is very easy to use unlike some hotels where you swipe. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again, as long as the wi-fi is working, otherwise no chance!!
Very clean. Kind staff. Close to the underground. The main problem was we had a quadruple room, and it was tiny. There was very little room, even for bags
