We really enjoyed staying here! The room was clean and very cosy, Sandra's breakfast was great and the place was not too far from the city centre (only 15 minutes by bus). We do really recommend Old School House to all of you!! Leonarda & Francesca from Bologna- Italy.

My wife and I stayed here recently having travelled to Edinburgh for a long weekend for my wife's birthday. We chose the Old School House based on other peoples testimonials and were certainly not disappointed. Sandra the owner, is a most friendly and efficient hostess. The house is lovely, as is the setting, and the room we had was excellent. The food choice was also excellent and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Easy access to the city centre, a superb local village and amenities, countryside right on the doorstep, means that this is a place that we would not hesitate to recommend or to use again at some future date. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable!

I have stayed in a lot of bed & breakfasts and this is one of the best l have ever stayed in. Super friendly, lovely people, very very clean and made us more than welcome. Room more than 1st class and we shall definitely stay there again. Excellent distance to Edinburgh and lots of regular buses.

This is a fantastic place to stay. The owner is lovely and very welcoming. The place is beautiful and well equipped. It is very well situated in a peaceful town with a lovely village feel. There are frequent buses for the short trip into Edinburgh city and night buses run til late. Oh and the breakfast is simply fancy!
