Description

Madonna Halleys Hotel certainly offers the wow factor that you wouldn’t get from any other bed and breakfasts in Edgware, North West of central London. In fact, as Madonna Halleys is adorned with ceramic floor tiles, pots, murals, archways, and tableware made by the owner, you could easily be fooled into thinking that you were in the Mediterranean. This unique interior design creates a warm and intimate atmosphere for you to relish and acts as the perfect antidote to bustling central London.

Hotel is a bit tired but very entertaining. We laughed all weekend. The guy who I think does everything in the hotel could not do enough for us and very attentive. We ended up in the attic. The room was clean but the bedding was un ironed. We had a kettle but no base one cup & just three tea bags, two in a packet and one out. No soap in the bathroom so good job I took mine. There was no double glazing and the noise from the traffic was unbelievable, I didn't sleep much at all. We went down to breakfast and there were glasses but no juice, no condiments but cereal and coffee was out on the table. We asked what was for breakfast and he said what do you want and would have done anything that we asked for so we had bacon and eggs but he couldn't do toast. We asked for brown sauce and got ketchup we asked for marmalade and got jam which we found hilarious. Breakfast was cooked fresh and was lovely. We were also entertained by the resident parrot. All in all it wasn't too bad and certainly gave us something to talk about. Would I go again? Probably not

The Madonna Halleys Hotel is a simple but lovely place to stay. It's easy to get too and from, being near the tube and it doesn't feel like you are in he centre of London!

Really nice building inside and out, not sure if it's a family run business though as the weekend staff were really pleasant and helpful but the Monday morning staff were a bit less friendly. Room was clean and tidy, had a slight problem with the bathroom but as soon as we mentioned it, it was dealt with within a couple of hours. Excellent value for money overall and would certainly book to stay again. It has a lot of potential to be a great B&B.
