It was only okay. Good points: friendly enough and good breakfast. Not so good: room for price small and not inviting

Pleasant enough hotel.Room was tiny single bed was only big enough for a child not 6' adult people. Next door very noisy slamming doors at all hours. I told reception who did nothing! Don't stay here if you want a good nights sleep... you have been warned

Stayed at the Meridiana in January 2010, when me and my daughter had travelled down to London to see a ballet. Although I arrived 3 hours early to drop off my suitcase, I was told the room was ready, which was great. The room was nice and warm, very clean, and the staff were really friendly. The next morning we went down to the dining room and had a really tasty full English breakfast, that was freshly cooked to order. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble and I would definitely recommend staying at the Meridiana if you are visiting London. Its a 2 minute walk from Kings Cross station, and the area is very quiet. When we vacated our room at 11am, our train wasn't leaving until 8pm, I had planned to have a shopping day with my daughter, and the manager at the hotel just told me he would look after our cases until we needed to catch the train, which was really helpful. If I had to choose one thing that could have been better, it would be that if I went again I would request a lower floor. I was on the top floor, and my bags were so heavy and there was no lift, but that was the only thing, and it's really not a problem

Adequate B and B, could hear the toilet flushing. And the English breakfast was average, cheap sausage, hard beans, no mushrooms, no black pudding. But for £40 odd and a genuine stone's throw from St Pancras, it's okay
