Stayed for 2 nights. Good stuff: Staff very friendly and helpful, very nice setting in a residential area (be prepared to walk though), room was clean, linen changed every day, en suite shower, very clean. Bad stuff: Was not able to turn thermostat off so roasted at night even with windows wide open. Remote control on TV did not work. Posted rates are single £70 and my opinion is it is not worth it relative to location and expense to get to London

I only stayed at Hayesthorpe for one night, but my experience was satisfactory. The conservatory was lovely and proximity to Gatwick was nice. It is an old building but I knew this already from the photos. I have no complaints to make about this property

Hayesthorpe Hotel was a bit run down and old, but overall I had a good experience here. The staff were friendly and the surroundings were very nice. My room was clean

I booked the room only that morning and there were spaces available, the room was clean and tidy and reasonably priced, it had parking available and was only a short distance from the main town centre. I felt it was good value for money and would consider using the hotel again if I needed to stay in Croydon in the future. The reception staff member was friendly and welcoming.
