With its fountain bedecked entrance, columned exterior wall, and impressive façade, you could easily mistake Euro Lodge Clapham for being a really expensive and lavish hotel. Euro Lodge Clapham is ideally located in the heart of Central London, just a short distance from Clapham South Tube Station. This makes this money saving 2 star London hotel ideal for an exciting trip to this great city. All you need to do is hop on the tube and you’ll have fast access to London’s famous tourist attractions, including Oxford Street and Leicester Square. Closer to the hotel there are plenty of bars and restaurants for you to try out in the evenings.

You will find plenty to do in Clapham itself, without even venturing on a tube. Just across the road from Euro Lodge Clapham is Clapham Common, home to numerous music events during the summer and a popular place for kites, rollerblading, and relaxing on the green. If you love cricket the famous Oval cricket grounds are just a few stops away via bus or tube where you could catch the local team Surrey play or watch the Test match if you are coming to London in late August or early September.

- On Foot:

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in a twin en-suite bedroom. We were given a room on ground floor, at the end of longish corridor and that fact alone created a secluded, private atmosphere. We had a huge bay window overlooking a front courtyard with wooden tables and a blue tiled fountain. Beyond the courtyard there was a main road, beyond which lays Clapham Common, a vast green grassed area. The room and bathroom were very clean, the sheets and towels changed daily and all the furniture perfectly adequate. There's 4 mins walk to the Clapham South tube station and everything worth seeing in London is 15 - 20 mins tube ride away. There was one small hitch with electricity, when we lost TV, reading light and kettle. The reception person was really helpful, very quick in answering our queery, really polite and calm. And it transpired that TV was lost because entire London switched to digital only that night and the set needed re-tuning. Summarising, I would say Euro Lodge Clapham is excellent value for money, a fantastic position near a huge green area, a peaceful hideaway from a hectic, frenetic, magnificent city a mere tube ride away. I would cheerfully recommend it to anyone, except people, who customarily stay in Dorchester. It made our stay in the capital so much nicer. We went back home to York with great memories. Everything was ok, nice clean rooms with TV, telephone and wi-fi internet. Basic, but sufficient breakfast. The only con was electric key, which was not properly working and late check-in which starts at 3 pm

Clean enough but very basic room. Only slight complaint would be the total lack of hanging space for clothes, but if you're on a budget and happy to live out of a suitcase, this place is more than adequate

Very friendly staff at Euro Lodge Clapham. Was pleasantly suprised with the room standard too. Small but cosy and satisfied our every need. Bit of building work seems to still be going on which was annoying for an hour, but worser things have happened at hotels
