I read some reviews of the Botanic Hotel before going and I went there expecting something really bad. But it wasn't that bad after all. The hotel was clean, the rooms were simple but comfortable and the staff were nice and friendly. The breakfast wasn't too bad either. I wouldn't mind to stay there again, it was good enough for what we paid. Not spectacular but good enough

Room was small for a single and appeared to be below a staff room, due to loud TV and walking around until late at night. Otherwise, staff were nice, service was good. A real shame the room was a letdown.

Well appointed rooms at a reasonable price but spoilt by the breakfast provided consisting of the cheapest ingredients imaginable. After one we ate out!

This hotel was dirty - the carpet was covered in hairs, the cups were dirty too. The biscuits were six months out of date, and the milk portions had expired. The reception staff barely spoke to us on arrival.
