Poky rooms. Not particularly clean. Breakfast just about adequate. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone

Basic but clean and a great price with all the facilities I needed for an overnight stay near the centre of London. Would definitely recommend

The Blair Victoria Hotel is located in the centre of London and for that reason the price is very reasonable. Everything was clean enough and worked and it did it's job

Ok, so the rooms in the Blair Victoria Hotel are a bit small (we had friends staying in other rooms so got to see a good pick of them) and it's not the newest and most modern hotel in London, but the Blair Victoria Hotel is good value for money if all you want is a place to sleep and change in. I would return

I read the bad reviews on here with a pinch of salt before I booked. We just needed a base in central London and aren't that fussy, so we figured for the cost that it would be fine. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Victoria Station which is a good location as it serves the main line, coach station and tube. We got there 2 hours early and were able to drop our bags off, which we were pleased about. The decor and general standard of the hotel is low, though for the price you wouldn't expect much more. The room was abysmal, we were in a basement room (number 4) and when we got there we couldn't even get in the room as the spring had gone on the lock, we had to seek help from the reception who seemed familiar with this problem. This was an annoyance throughout our stay as it took 10 mins to get into the room. When we eventually managed to get in the room we both burst out laughing as the gap to negotiate through the door and into the room was approx 18 inches across due to the positioning of the wall to the bedside cabinet, so lugging heavy travel bags through this wasn't fun! The bathroom was the worst bit, I have to say. The wiring on the ceiling fan looked downright dangerous and the toilet was so close to the sink that when you were sitting on it your legs were right up under the sink, I happened to be 7 months pregnant when we stayed and had to wedge myself in if I wanted to use it! The shower was good, a nice power shower, although it took ages to heat up. The bedding and towels were clean and OK. The carpets were manky. The general size and manoeuvrability in the room were the main issues as the double bed took up 3/4 of the room!! One of the other problems was the noise from other guests until 3am, they were screaming loudly and banging doors around, I felt that management should have sorted this out as it certainly kept us awake. Oh and they also forgot to do our 3am alarm call for our flight home, lucky we set our phone alarm as back up. Didn't eat the breakfast as the dining room was full and people were queuing for tables so we went out instead. I can't imagine we missed much. Overall I'd say that the hotel is OK value for money for central London but we won't be staying again. There were numerous hotels along that main road which I imagine to be far nicer
