Book at the Notting Hill Hostel, a friendly base for people visiting London

Our Location

Found in Bayswater, Central London, the Notting Hill Hostel is perfectly located to access some of the capital's best attractions, as well as shops, restaurants and bars.

The hostel near Notting Hill Gate is just a brief stroll from the area's vibrant nightlife, fashionable boutiques and beautiful Victorian terraces, and if you are visiting over the Bank Holiday weekend in August you can attend one of the city's most prominent street festivals the Notting Hill Carnival.

Among London's biggest and best open spaces, Hyde Park is right on the doorstep of the Notting Hill Hostel. It plays host to the famous Speakers' Corner, Kensington Gardens and an array of big name rock concerts in the summer. However, most people look to it as a wonderful place to escape the hubbub of the city.

A little further afield is Oxford Street where shopaholics can hit up some of the Britain's best flagship stores, which is just a half hour walk away, while the famous museums of South Kensington, such as the National History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum, are a similar distance.

Nearest tube station:

The closest tube station to the Notting Hill Hostel is Bayswater, which is on the District Line. However, Queensway on the Central Line and Notting Hill Gate on the District and Central Lines are also both very close. The Central Line provides quick access to Oxford Street and is an excellent gateway to East London's hip neighbourhoods of Shoreditch and Bethnal Green. The District Line, on the other hand, can quickly transport London visitors to Victoria and Westminster.

From the airport:

Those staying at Notting Hill Hostel who arrive at Heathrow Airport can get to their London accommodation in just 40 minutes. All they need to do is take the Heathrow Express train to Paddington and then either walk to the hostel in around ten minutes or take the District Line to Bayswater.

If you are arriving at Gatwick Airport, take the Gatwick Express train to London Victoria. From there you can take either the 148 or the 52 bus to Notting Hill Gate and then walk or, alternatively, get on a westbound London Underground train to Bayswater.
