Exit the M8 at Junction 1 and take the A720. Drive south along the bypass and
then take the first exit off the road onto the A71. Continue straight along this
road until you come to the junction with the A70, then take a sharp right here.
Take the first left onto Harrison Road, then go straight across Polwarth Terrace
onto Gillsland Road. Turn left again onto Spylaw Road and then left onto Ettrick
Road. Royal Ettrick Hotel is situated on the left.

You can walk from Haymarket Station, but you may find it easier to take a taxi.
If you do walk you need to turn right out of Haymarket Station onto Dalry Road,
walk along here until you come to Ardmillan Terrace on the left. Turn left again
down Harrison Road, then left onto Polwarth Terrace. Finally, turn right onto
Ettrick Road to reach Royal Ettrick Hotel.
