West Tollcross
West Tollcross is located in a modern building in the Tollcross area of Edinburgh and offers low-cost accommodation in the summer months. The accommodation at this university residence is divided into self-catering flats, which each contain between four and five study bedrooms. All of the bedrooms at West Tollcross are simply furnished and equipped with the basic necessities for a comfortable stay, including a washbasin and a telephone, for which you can buy phone cards from reception.
West Tollcross has 51 flats and all of the rooms are single occupancy. The flats all contain a communal dining area and shared kitchen facilities. The shared kitchens are equipped with all the facilities that you need to prepare and store your food. West Tollcross is a short walk from Haymarket Station and there is also a limited number of parking spaces at the site. From West Tollcross you are only a short walk away from all the attractions at Princes Street.

West Tollcross offers easy access to all the attractions in Edinburgh City Centre. Princes Street is a short walk away and should satisfy all your shopping needs. Also on Princes Street is the Scott Monument, which you can climb to enjoy excellent views of Edinburgh Castle. If you enjoy walking, head up to Arthur’s Seat for fantastic vistas across the city and surrounding countryside.

Check in: Sunday and weekdays between 2pm and 4pm. Late arrivals can be arranged. Saturday arrivals between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.

- By Train
West Tollcross is located close to Haymarket Station. From the station you can walk to the residence.
- By Car
From the M1, go onto the Edinburgh City Bypass and travel southbound until you come to the junction with the A71. Drive straight along here remaining on the A71 until you come to the end of Gorgie Road. From here drive straight across and go down Henderson Terrace onto Dundee Street. Dundee Street leads straight onto Fountainbridge, so continue straight on. West Tollcross flats are on the right; slow down as you approach the turning, as it is very tight.
- On Foot
Turn right out of Haymarket Station onto Haymarket Terrace. Then walk straight down Morrison Street until you come to Lothian Road. Turn right here and then take the first right onto Fountainbridge. You will come to West Tollcross on the left.
