Weardowney Guesthouse

You’ll find boutique Weardowney Guesthouse set within the House of Weardowney, a young and inspiring British fashion label renowned for its knitwear. Located in affluent Marylebone (with the labels creative hideaway, get Up boutique and handcraftsmanship courses situated in the same building), staying here provides you with a unique opportunity to relax in the guesthouse’s rich, home from home atmosphere that regularly attracts artists, models and international business travellers.

Weardowney Guesthouse is intimate, with seven rooms in total. Only two have private bathrooms, but as each room has been individually styled by artists to inspire your creativity, you won’t mind sharing a bathroom. Every centrally heated room has a colour television and you can request a direct dial telephone, hairdryer, alarm clock radio, internet access and an iron and board in your room. In the evenings you can unwind on the roof terrace or use the shared self catering kitchen facilities.

Attractions

Wealthy Marylebone in Central London has plenty of hidden treasures for you to explore. Just a couple of minute’s walk away from Weardowney Guesthouse is the local antique colonies of Church Street and Alfies Antiques Market. Other well known tourist attractions nearby include the vast expanse of Regents Park, London Zoo, Madame Tussauds and the Wallace Collection. Hyde Park and Oxford Street are slightly further away.

I would say to anybody - do not go - the place was filthy we were in room 5 and it is probably one of the worst places I have ever stayed in

Okay - a bit different, indeed more like staying in a private house, very accommodating about a change of room, but also a bit strange

I really enjoyed my stay here. It is very reasonably priced by London standards, and was quiet, clean and glamorous. Where else in London accommodation do you have 24/7 use of kitchen facilities at this price? The bed was comfortable (if a little on the small side for my taste), the room was lovely with sexy lighting and a great monsoon shower in the en-suite. Edgware Rd and its environs are not the most glamorous locale in London and won't be to everyone's taste, but personally I felt comfortable which is important to me as a woman traveller, and it is only about 4 tube stops to the centre of town. I will definitely return!

Very much a Guesthouse and not a hotel in a nice homely way.

Thank you for looking after us, you made us feel at home and looked after us well. We will make your guest house our stop every time we will be down to London. Thank you again.
