Nice hotel! We were actually surprised by the standard, for the price that we paid! We wanted for nothing and had no issues with a single matter during our stay. The staff were generous, our room was large.. hey what more could you want in London town?!

Shaftesbury Hyde Park Paddington was clean and convenient for tourist attractions. We had a good English breakfast here too (not included), very impressed. I was here with my son who is young, and the staff were perfectly helpful. All in all a good stay and I'll come back when I'm next in London

I had a great time... The Hotel staff is very nice. I had to swap bedrooms 3 times in the beginning because they were too small or dark, but I then had a chance to pick a bedroom I liked, and I felt very pleased. In the end I had a good size and light bedroom. I wish to go back there soon!

The Shaftesbury Hyde Park Paddington hotel didn't disappoint me! It's really clean, comfortable, nice service, and close to the underground station.

Clean, modern and recently decorated room if a little small. Was a perfect base for a weekend exploring London due to proximity to Paddington. Don't let that put you off, you can't hear the trains! And just a short stroll to the calm of Hyde Park.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in this lovely hotel in a quite stunning London location. Shaftesbury Hyde Park was within walking distance of everywhere that we had planned to visit that weekend. The reception staff were welcoming and very friendly (particularly as we were all wet and bedraggled due to the weather - making puddles on their very smart foyer floor). The rooms were clean, fully equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and delicious. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our every need and let us store our luggage for the day before we left in the evening. Throroughly recommended and we will be booking another visit in the summer/autumn 2009 for a visit to the Freize Art Fair in Regent's Park.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in with regards to value for money. One street away from Paddington Station (inc Underground), nice walk through Kensington Gardens nearby. Been 4 years in a row

Four of us stayed at the above hotel on 29th December 2008. The hotel was very clean and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel to people who are on business or who are going to London for leisure purposes. The Public Transport system is very good in the Paddington area with a day explorer ticket costing 3.50 for one day travel all over the London area.

There are many reviews which I consider unfair regarding The Paddington. Remember this is London and accommodation is expensive, especially when this close to the centre of town. The Paddington is close to the Heathrow Express and London's joys are a relaxing walk through Hyde Park away. I consider it great value and would book again. If you want a huge bathroom and fancy facilities, either increase your budget or look further out of town. If you'd rather spend your money on things other than a place to rest your head, book at The Paddington. I spent my savings on a deluxe dinner at Gordon Ramsay's ;-)
