The overall impression of the Stratford Lodge having gotten into my room was not bad. From the outside the appearance is dowdy, but inside the room was clean, if rather basic, although it had a fridge, microwave and a small TV. I was happy that the room was clean and the en-suite bathroom was OK. There was enough hot water and the water pressure in the shower was more than adequate.

The room was quite good and very clean. The bathroom was in really good condition. But there were not enough towels for everyone in the room, and the towels were too small. The breakfast was very poor.

I was not happy with the overall stay. On the internet they said there would be a full continental breakfast, all we were given was toast or cereal, I was not happy about that. I needed an iron to use and that was not working properly. The heating was not working at all in my father’s room. No facilities were there for cleaning out baby bottles. I requested a single bed in the quad room all I was given was a mattress. The TV was not working properly in my room or my father’s room.
