The establishment is located not far from Lancaster Gate and Paddington tube stations, which provide easy access on the Central Line to most parts of central London. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room, whilst basic, is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is continental but is generous and filling. Piccolo was good value for money.

Great location budget hotel in need of a little refurbishment & breakfast was a disappointment. However the manager’s helpfulness & top location more than made up for these minor points.

Brilliant. Lovely spacious, clean rooms. Clean tidy bathroom with power shower. Large colour TV with freeview channels and DVD player. Lovely location in quiet street literally just round the corner from Paddington Station and some lovely restaurants, including a fantastic little Greek one and a great cafe that huge pieces of cake, pastries and tray bakes! Great price... doubt you could find a better or more central hotel than this in London for this fantastic price!

Hotel is as expected and per reviews by others. For the price and location (London), one cannot expect 5*. Basic clean accommodation and ideally situated for London Underground, British Rail and exploring London. Room 1 (lower ground floor - no view) is below the reception - noise early in the morning. Although continental breakfast, hotel didn’t acknowledge or try to resolve dietary issues sent with online booking (e.g. offer of yoghurt to cater for my partner who is unable to eat wheat products). The hotel charge 3% when you pay the outstanding balance - whether you pay by credit card or debit card! They expect payment upon arrival - previous experience with the human race - those who leave without paying! However, continental breakfast is continental breakfast and the staff were pleasant and friendly. Shower room and toilet small - L shape - can't put your hands out without touching a wall. If you want somewhere clean, reasonably priced and ideal for London exploring, this is the place for you. If you want quality - then pay double the price and look elsewhere.

We had a two night stay at the Piccolino, in a room at the front of the hotel, surprisingly quiet. Very clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. Breakfast was serve yourself and plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful, even happily looked after our bags on the day of departure. Well recommended.

The Piccolino Hotel is a great value for money, beautiful soft furnishings, modern washrooms, lovely breakfast with friendly staff. The room was spotless and bed linen crisp. The location is ideal and safe as Hotel on main well lit Street, plenty of restaurants and bars in a few paces from this hotel, and underground a minute away, A great find, I for one will be returning.

A very good budget B&B. I had a room on the top floor (no lift, but I wasn't expecting that). The room was nicely sized and clean. The en-suite bathroom was small (which is nothing new in London), but you could hardly sit down on the toilet without knocking into the wash basin. The breakfast buffet was ok. The staff were very friendly. The location is excellent. Paddington and Lancaster Gate is only 5 mins walk away and there are a few corner shops in the area that are open long into the night. For a budget B&B this was really very good. It certainly exceeded my expectations regarding size and cleanliness :).

I loved the Piccolino. I came to London for 11 days in October 2008. Friendly staff, small but lovely room with own bathroom. Paddington is a wonderful location for a traveller, and I was a short walk from buses and the tube. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I stayed in this hotel in December along with four other friends on a theatre/shopping weekend. This was my first stay in London and the hotel was excellent; very clean and the room was ideal, it had a shower room and separate toilet which was great with 5 women getting ready to go out. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would go back with my husband and children when we go to London again but don't shop on a Saturday its mad especially in Primark wished we had done more sightseeing as its right on the doorstep to Hyde Park. Breakfast was great even had eggs and beans not just continental just a shame room wasn't bigger as lots of foreigners and they tend to stay longer for breakfast. All in all i would definitely go back and recommend it, excellent value for money.
