Very nice room. Very friendly and helpful owner. Excellent and very large breakfast.

As previously mentioned the breakfast was excellent with an artistically arranged fruit dish to begin with followed by full Scottish breakfast, toast, yoghurt, cereal and fruit juice.

The host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local and surrounding areas and recommended a good walk for us that we enjoyed.

The room was very spacious, warm and homely with all the character you'd expect from an old schoolhouse.

The bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in away from home.

Collington was a charming village and a regular and excellent bus service meant Edinburgh was only a few minutes away.

We had no problem finding adequate parking nearby.

We would highly recommend The Old School House to anyone looking to stay around Edinburgh.

Old School House is a great place to stay; beautiful spacious room and an amazing breakfast. A really friendly host to top it all off.

Both myself and a friend had an excellent 2 nights stay at the Old School House recently. The owner is lovely and she made us feel very welcome. The standard of accommodation is excellent. We would recommend anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Edinburgh to consider the Old School House, in the beautiful village of Colinton!

I was given a clean and spacious room at the Old School House and I tried the Scottish breakfast which was very impressive; homely environment. I would love to stay everytime at Old School House in Edinburgh again and again :o)

The host at the Old School House was very pleasant and breakfast was exceptional. There is a great bus service into Edinburgh town centre and the room was clean with some nice touches, like a fridge, candles and satellite TV.
