The rooms are simple at New Globe Hotel, but clean and the staff is extremely nice and helpful. The negative thing is, however, the noise in the hotel, as there is constant coming and going and the door hinges squeal a lot, which woke me up several times during the night. I therefore recommend oiling them

Generally a very pleasant stay at New Globe Hotel except for the rubbish in the yard underneath our window which poses a health hazard (rats, etc). It would also be great to provide for more storing/hanging for clothes and personal stuff. We also liked that the reception is staffed 24 hours which made us feel very safe

Well, this place won't win any prizes but the other reviews almost put me off completely when I think they were unfair. I was attending Field Day festival so needed a place to stay nearby - everywhere else was expensive per night or would have been a much longer journey to get to. The room was clean, there were fresh towels and a hot shower. It was a bit noisy due to being by the road and underground but not really problematic. There's a co-op outside if you need food and a choice of places for breakfast (including a place that sells the biggest doughnuts you've ever seen!). It's also a 10 min walk from Victoria Park and 2 mins from the tube station. The chap on reception was lovely and reception is open 24/7 which is handy as we got back from the festival late. All in all, if you need budget London accommodation that's just somewhere to rest your head, you could do much worse

Recently stayed at New Globe Hotel, price was not too bad. Overall ok

New Globe Hotel had a good basic room with clean toilet. Although the duvet was clean, the bed sheets underneath had visible stains on them despite clearly having been washed. Otherwise, it is good value for money considering the location

New Globe Hotel is in a good location near everything, the price was ok, the room quiet and we had a private bathroom,, not luxurious but for the price was really ok, the person in the reception helped us giving the information we wanted

Old and not nice. I don't think I'll come back again.

Room was basic but you get what you pay for, that being said sheets and towels were clean. Large shower and tv. I would recommend a kettle for the coffee. I was disappointed that the bar was not open. I would book New Globe Hotel again
