Our room was in the basement next to the breakfast room. It had just been painted and the smell of paint was nauseating. No sleep due to tube trains, sheets were clean, breakfast was okay. But I suppose that's what you get for budget hotels. My fault shouldn't have been a cheapskate

Very tiny rooms with very tiny ensuite. All very clean. Nice big towels, comfy bed. Breakfast adequate with service of fried eggs and toast to order plus cereal and juice. Carpeted stairs to 3rd level, good security, helpful desk clerks. Hotel as advertised, location excellent

Very friendly service. Room was a little bit too small for 4 people

The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our bags were carried to our room for us. The room was very clean and tea and coffee supplies were replenished. Continental breakfast was perfectly adequate. The location is great with good restaurants within easy walking distance. We have stayed at this hotel before and will certainly return there if we visit London again.

I was horrified at the size of the room, which was not big enough for even a single room. The bathroom was also extremely small and the décor of the room was outdated. The sheets were not up to scratch. No lift so had to walk 3 flights of stairs, which was very steep and the banisters were loose.I struggle for anything positive to say other than the fact that the staff were friendly at the reception.

You get what you pay for, which is to say not very much for central London, a tiny ground floor room with the tube trains rumbling away below every few minutes. The bathroom was a minuscule plastic pod; you almost had to sit on the toilet to use the basin, like caravanning. There was nowhere to put anything except a rickety corner enclosure (I would not call it a wardrobe). I'm a teacher and always try to say something positive in a report. Okay, the staff were polite enough and the shower worked well. But I feel that, for not much extra outlay, they could have made more effort, such as putting up a hook or two to hang your coat on. Three stars? That's just a joke. We will not be returning, for ANY money. We have determined to ask to see the room in future before committing. There were vacancies here but I can't believe they had anything worse than this to offer and if we'd had a room on an upper floor we might not have had to bear with the trains.

Very convenient location. I was in a fourth floor attic with very steep stairs. Basic facilities. Helpful staff

Location was great. Staff were helpful and polite. Difficult to negotiate stairs with heavy cases. En suites too small for comfort

A bit Faulty Towers! Price reflects the standard. Basic, a bit smelly, breakfast was random, a hard boiled egg, cold croissants, bread rolls, butter, jam, apple, yogurt. The shower/toilet rooms are the size of a hamster cage but you get what you pay for, good location, cheap, bed and roof over head for a night
