The hotel is not the Ritz but you don't expect that for the price. If you just want somewhere to stay which is close to the centre of London, clean and good value for money then this is just the ticket. I would stay there again.

The room was perfectly clean, staff very kind, price great. The bathroom should have been a bit cleaner, but still I would recommend Hour Glass Hotel and I would stay there again. I was more than satisfied.

The hotel is great for people who are looking for a bed only and don't ask for comfort. Our room was small, but clean such as the bathroom. The kitchen which we didn't use was less taken care of. There is a bus station right in front of the hotel that connects you to the city. For all this and compared to the rest of London accommodation the price is unbeatable.

Very basic accommodation but good value for the money. Stayed for one night only but appreciated clean sheets, sink in the room, hot water showers, TV worked, fridge in the room, 7mins to main street with TESCOs, food takeaways and shops, bar underneath shuts at midnight so not too noisy, bus stop (Alsace Road on bus route 343) only 50m across the street. Probably not the safest area at night but seemed fine during the day.

It has plenty of Character, Spotlessly clean rooms and shared bathroom but then furniture too big for the room. The Bar downstairs can be quite rowdy and loud.

Clean, warm room. However very inconvenient location that’s a good half hour walk to a tube stop and definitely not walkable at night due to dangerous looking area, so due to necessary taxi fares not as cheap a room as the price suggests! Also, very old thin beds that did my back a fair bit of damage! Not comfortable.

Nice big room with a fridge, telly and comfy bed. There was a bit of building work going on and it's quite noisy outside at night (foxes or something?) and it's not in the best area but the staff are friendly and it's very good value for central London.

Stay away, area is very bad and staff are unco-operative. Not suitable for anyone, building falling apart

Oh my god! my room was tiny, with loads of noise coming from the pub and a radio playing from their kitchen. The room had loads of dirty marks all round it.
The hotel (if you can call it that) is in amongst a council estate so i was suggest if you have no other option but to go there, then make sure that you get a taxi straight back to it at night, would not suggest walking back!

We found the Hour Glass Hotel old fashioned but comfortable. The staff were very nice and they did their upmost to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The food was lovely and the dining room very clean. Excellent stay :)
