Broken window in room, mouse traps in room, mould around outside of shower cubicle, shower head hanging off and had to hold to have a shower, water was luke warm, no light in toilet, curtain hanging off window, no light in hall way and not being able to see when i was coming down or going upstairs to my room, dirty carpets, bed linen had musty odour, continental breakfast was poor, small pot of tea, toast with butter/jam, no cereal/ fruit etc. not value for money.

I had a lovely stay at Golden Star Hostel, it was just what I was looking for. A 10 minute walk away from the coach station and not that far from Central London

I can’t say there’s much to recommend the Golden Star Hotel. Really poor service and shabby throughout. I slept alright and it wasn’t such a dump that I walked out but certainly wouldn’t recommend it to my friends. They say they offer 24 hour reception but then the guy there got all angry when I showed up late, even though I called him to say I was on my way. Then he said he was going to move me during my stay, but I told him that that wasn’t going to happen so he relented. The door to the bathroom wouldn’t close if I was sitting on the toilet. I had no idea how to work the shower. Apparently it wasn’t broken, it was just completely bafflings

It was a good time in room at Golden Star Hostel. Everything is properly managed by agent. Room was good. Overall stay pretty good

The hostel was a disgrace toilet not working ,washing hanging over radiator in hallway breakfast did not arrive till 9.45 supposed 2 b 9 am. Building contractors still working. The place was disgusting

For the price we paid this was a really good stay, we were on the ground floor and the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. I would definitely consider booking Golden Star Hostel again

This is a very basic hostel as the space was very limited in ensuite which really needed a dramatic makeover to be called an ensuite. Bedding dirty but quickly changed when I mentioned it. Positives are the location and bed was comfortable. Not for the OCD amongst us in terms of presentation but ideal position in London. Rating increased from 1 to 2 for the young lady's actions at our complaints.

Shower head was unattactched, no tissue in bathroom, bed extremely uncomfortable, messy outside of windows.
