I arrived after midnight, because my flight was delayed, so I deeply appreciated the 24/7 reception. All people were very friendly, what made me feel comfortable. My room was really nice and as I was only travelling with handbaggage, I had enough space to put everything into the locker! What I did not like much were the showers. They were either too cold or too hot, so I could not really enjoy my shower. In addition I got a dirty towel at the shop, so I wasn't that happy about that either. But apart from that I really liked the place. I could reach everything by foot and in the evening I was always pleased to use the "Chilling" area, or just having a seat downstairs near the bar.

Generator Hostel felt very safe and clean. I wish that private rooms came with towels

Great staff, rooms and food at Generator Hostel. However, prices of towels are ridiculous and didn't appreciate the alarm which went of x3 times during the middle of the night

These guys know what they’re doing. I’ve stayed in tons of hostels in London and all over the world and 90% of the time they’re total dives. Generator was a pleasant and welcome exception to the rule. Really enjoyed my stay. Fantastic location and, gladly, not right next door to a load of nightclubs, which means that people can’t really be fussed to go out at midnight to get loaded and hit the sack instead. Great bar, WiFi in rooms (again, loads of hostels say this but most are lying because the signal doesn’t stretch), super clean which is always a plus if you’re sharing space, and awesome location. I’ve booked again already because it’s right where I like to go and it’s such a cool environment. Only negative comment is that the breakfast could be a bit better, but still beats most other hostels

Best hostel in London, A+ facilities minus the noise in the lobby

The greatest benefit to me was its proximity to Euston station - I arrived at 3 and left at 6.00 to catch the first train north. Service was good and check in was possible after midnight. The bed was comfy, power sockets available and it seemed as though there was plenty of activity around the place when we arrive. Check out was straightforward as well. Would recommend Generator Hostel to a friend

Really friendly atmosphere and staff at Generator Hostel. Clean rooms, toilets weren't as good, but everything else was really good

Nice London hostel, very clean, very central (5min. Walk to Kings Cross) breakfast is ok, very polite and helpful staff and the interior-design is quite stylish.,But 4GBP for a towel(which didn't work!) Again 4GBP for a padlock, sorry that's not cool at all and the visitors-policy reminded me at a monastery
