Cathedral Park

Cathedral Park is one of the halls of residence at Liverpool John Moores University and offers low-cost accommodation that is perfect for backpackers, students and large groups. Situated in the grounds of the city’s magnificent Anglican cathedral, this comfortable residence makes an ideal base from which to explore Liverpool’s many attractions and is close to a variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Available during the summer months, rooms at Cathedral Park are ideal for budget travellers.

Cathedral Park has 620 single rooms, which are available with either private or shared bathroom facilities. Rooms are arranged in small houses, with five guests sharing a bathroom and a small kitchen with a cooker, fridge-freezer and dining table. Cathedral Park also has a laundrette and offers breakfast each morning. Limited parking is available onsite and bed linen and towels are provided.

Attractions

Cathedral Park is located within easy reach of all of Liverpool’s attractions. Liverpool is the 2008 Capital of Culture, and you’ll find plenty to see and do. You could head down to Albert Dock to visit the Tate Gallery and the Beatles’ Story, or travel to Church Street for a day of shopping. You should, of course, explore the neighbouring cathedral, which is the largest cathedral in Britain.

Directions

By Train

The closest train station to Cathedral Park is Lime Street.

By Car

Exit the M62 and take the A5080 towards the city centre, then continue straight on onto the A5047 (Edge Lane). Follow this road into the city centre until you come to Lime Street (A5038). Turn left onto this street, then continue down this street toward the cathedral. Turn left onto upper Duke Street, then right onto Cathedral Park.

On Foot

Exit Lime Street Station and turn left, then walk down Renshaw Street. When the road forks take the right-hand fork onto Berry Street, then turn left onto Upper Duke Street and you will see Cathedral Park on the right, next to the cathedral.
