The hotel did not warn us that a £20 deposit would be needed for our room keys - as the hotel attracts budget travellers, I think this should be made clear at an earlier stage. The bathroom, while clean, was extremely tiny - one could not wash at the sink without the bathroom door open, nor fill the kettle from the sink (it simply wouldn't fit - cupfuls of water had to be poured into it!). We were told that there was a self-catering kitchen on the premises, and a 24 hour Sainsbury's a few minutes up the road. This kitchen, however, was on the second floor, and as we were on the ground this was quite a nuisance. There were also no possible precautions against theft of food by other occupants. The Sainsbury's was easily accessible for car drivers, but being located in a large retail park was not pedestrian-friendly; we got basic non-perishable supplies from local general stores instead.

There was very considerable street noise as the hotel is located by a busy main road - however, the small window was double-glazed so if you don't mind sleeping in a completely closed room (I do!) this could be minimised. Customers from the pub which is part of the hotel can also create noise and nuisance by using the alleyway alongside some of the guest room windows to smoke in. The floorboards are very old and creaky, and we could hear virtually every move the upstairs tenant made.

I would like to reiterate that in spite all of the above, the staff at Antigallican hotel clearly made every effort to keep things running and please their guests - and it was very reasonably priced. It is also excellently located for public transport

Great food, really friendly people and good hospitality. Even though we had an extra person staying in our room because of missed trains, nobody minded and the focus was on having a good time. Also, the room was clean and well-equipped (although we could have done with some hot chocolate ;) ) All in all, we'd stay again, the only problem was getting back at night from the West End

I thought this hotel was ok, it is well situated for the O2 and to the train station. I enjoyed my stay and all the staff were friendly

It was a lovely hotel. It's a bit far from the city centre (zone 3) but you have a train that takes you to Charing Cross so that's no problem. The rooms are very nice and clean and there's a common room with a full kitchen, a big TV and free internet. All in all, we had a very good time there! Plus, the staff is very nice and helpful!

Very good value for money. Room basic but clean and staff friendly. Convenient for O2 dome and Greenwich
