Being situated next to a major train station and virtually on the north bank of the Thames makes for a regular clientele, and yet the Blackfriar has staunchly maintained its authenticity as a Victorian drinker. The interior is particularly celebrated due to its design and the uniqueness of its situation; so much so that the building is Grade II listed. It enjoys the use of a small piazza directly outside, which means in the glorious summer months, outdoor drinking is also a possibility, with one of the best Thames views in London.
