The hotel was most disappointing. The window in our room had been left open all day so was freezing when we arrived. There were no coat hangers in the wardrobe, the phone was broken so we couldn't call reception and there was also no hot water. After complaining to reception, we were moved to another room which was nice but we had wasted a lot of time which made us late for our concert and we missed our evening meal.

I enjoyed our stay at Charing Cross Hotel, the location was convenient for us in the heart of the city. Friendly staff. You get what you pay for room-wise. Breakfast was sufficient and the 24 hour open hours was a life saver. Thanks

Conveniently located to downtown. Affordable, comfortable and beds clean

Prices were good for the city centre, which is what I needed, but some aspects were lacking. One of the beds had to be changed as the cleaner had obviously spilt a bottle of disinfectant on it and had put the cover over the top to hide it - soaking the bed right through. There was nail clippings on the floor and the shared toilets had no hand drying facilities. There was also nothing for previous users to clean the shower after use so body hair etc was lying around. We only wanted a place to kip after a night out so it suited our purpose and the breakfast was good. Staff were also very helpful regarding bed change etc so can`t fault them there. I`d still go there again if I required overnight London accommodation
