From Junction 1 of the M8, take the A720 (Edinburgh City Bypass) northbound. When you reach the Gongar Roundabout, take the A8 toward Edinburgh City Centre. Continue on the A8 until you pass Edinburgh Train Station on the right, then take the next right onto the A7 (Nicholson Street). Continue on this road as it becomes South Clerk Street and then turn left onto East Preston Street. Turn right onto Dalkeith Road, then immediately left onto Holyrood Park Road and you will see Edinburgh First Budget Rooms on the right. |

| For scenery, convenience to bus-routes (or a brisk walk), and the best breakfast, its got to be Edinburgh First Pollock Halls. Its never too early for breakfast - and seeing that not everyone gets up before the 9.30 a.m. cut-off time, there's all the more for those with a big appetite. You'll not be disappointed! I have used Edinburgh First Budget Rooms for the Fringe Festival several times, and it cannot be faulted - clean, tidy, quiet grounds, and you can be up on to of Arthur's Seat in 15 minutes (which you may well have flown over as you flew in!) |

| Myself and 2 friends came along for a weekend in Edinburgh at the start of August. We found the rooms clean, comfortable and suited to our needs in a great location. We were also taken aback by the quality of breakfast. we would definitely re-book in Edinburgh First Rooms. |

| Good breakfast, everything you could want. It's a shame that it finishes at 9.30am. Clean rooms, good bar - for the price, you couldn't ask for more. |

| The single accomodation although simple is a perfect base from which to explore Edinburgh and its many sites. The whole complex was clean, tidy and well maintained. Eating in a refrectory, although a daunting thought, was perfect with with plenty of choice and good standard of dishes.

| The accommodation was fantastic we were all very impressed. The staff were very friendly at Pollock halls, you could get instant taxi's from the halls only 5 mins into the centre costing no more than five pounds. The rooms were very clean and we were supplied with towels a welcome toiletries pack and a places to visit/things to do pack. We had phones in the room and the communal showers and kitchen were spotless and cleaned daily. On site there was also a small shop, cash machine and bar. The breakfasts were excellent. It was buffet style with a selection of cooked breakfast, continental, anything you wanted really and you could keep going back for more. Only thing bad about it was the times it was served 7.30 til 9.30 bit too early for us girls.. |
