Clink78

Clink78 gives you a unique experience for your stay in London. Set in a courthouse, this fun hostel combines 200 years of history with contemporary interior design. Modern facilities include a bar with DJs and acoustic sets, a games area, self-catering kitchen, laundry and travel shop as well as TV and internet lounges housed in original courtrooms! Multi-lingual staff are available at the 24 hour reception. The bars, cafes and great transport links of Kings Cross are within a short walk.

Clink78 provides a whole host of discounts and freebies, from a continental breakfast for only £1 GBP, plus free bed linen, luggage room and even a London walking tour free of charge! There are private rooms and dorms on offer, including ‘girls only’ and ‘girls deluxe’ dorms. Dorm sizes range in size from 4 to 16 innovative pod beds each with a reading light and locker, and some dorms have their own bathrooms. Most private rooms have their own bathroom and come in singles, twins, triples and prison cells!

Attractions: As Clink78 is situated in bustling Kings Cross you’ll find popular London attractions like the British Library, British Museum and Sadler’s Well Theatre within walking distance. If you fancy trying something different, you should head to the pubs and restaurants of nearby Exmouth Market, or the shops and bars of Upper Street in nearby Angel. As Kings Cross St Pancras Tube Station is so well connected you can catch a tube to places like trendy Camden Town and Covent Garden with ease.

Comments: All dorms are mixed unless stated otherwise. When booking dorm beds in dorm rooms, it is not guaranteed you will all be in the same room and it is recommended to book private rooms to ensure you stay together.

Clink78 is ideally suited to:short-term stays of up to 2 weeks; discerning student & adult backpackers; college & university groups.

Please note that bookings with 15 or will more people for the same period, or with the same name, will be Considered as a group and different policies will apply. Groups must contact the property Directly after the booking is made. The card holder making the booking Should be one of the guests. A non-refundable deposit will be payable one week after booking and the balance is payable one month before arrival.

Directions

By Tube: You should travel on the Metropolitan, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Victoria, Northern or Piccadilly line and get off at King’s Cross St Pancras Tube Station. You can walk from here to get to Clink78 so follow the by foot directions below.

On Foot: Clink78 is only a 9 minute walk from King's Cross St. Pancras Tube Station (Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan and Northern lines) and only 9 minutes from London Kings Cross Train Station.

Once you get to Kings Cross St Pancras Tube Station, exit onto Euston Road, turn to your left and start walking. Continue straight as Euston Road becomes Pentonville Road. Turn right onto Kings Cross Road, follow it as it bends round to the right, and you will find Clink78 at number 78 on your left.

Not bad very stylish despite 10 in a bedroom (now less than the norm for London}. Toilets and showers ok too. Beautiful building architecturally, classy detailing and vaulted glass roof and panelled ex courtroom. Nice details, excellent thematic development and modern furniture. Clink78 is also near fantastic looking vegan restaurant, but then the hostel had a superb state of the art kitchen that exceeded my expectations, best I've seen in hostels and clean on top plus large cell themed kitchen and bar with free drinks 1st night

Pleasant experience staying at Clink78. I came for an exam the day after, not as backpacker, surprisingly its a quiet and nice place to do revision, especially at the dock! Satisfied with the cleanliness as well

This was a very nice London hostel for very affordable prices. Located near the largest train station in London, I found it very easy to get to almost anywhere I wanted to in the city during my stay. The people at the desk were very helpful, and I would definitely recommend staying at Clink78
