Arsenal Tavern Backpackers Hostel is not too bad but quite run down. Good space for eating but the loud TV makes it difficult to keep a conversation going with other travellers for long

Good : Staff at Arsenal Tavern Backpackers Hostel are really kind. Easy access to and from station. Bad: Bathroom is a little bit dirty and we can use only one shower in women's bathroom

The bathrooms are clean, but the female only shower room was bad as there was only one shower working. The bedroom was really bad as it was really dirty, messy and small.

The foyer area and toilets are very nice and clean. Once you go upstairs to the rooms and shared bathrooms, you see it is completely different. The showers were disgusting and seemed to have never been cleaned. The rooms are cramped, stuffy and smelly. It was cheap to stay here, but you get what you pay for.

Arsenal Tavern Backpackers Hostel ticks lots of boxes - in a very nice area, huge chill-out area, plenty of space, tables and chairs, microwave and kettle with tea and coffee and even milk supplied. Staff very friendly and helpful. Also the guests at the time of my stay were lovely - girls dorm a very nice place to be socially. Female showers in an absolute state, one no cold water, one no hot water, all need a jolly good scrub
