I stayed at this hostel in London for over a week and the atmosphere was great. The common room and kitchen are a great size and more importantly the showers were hot. The rooms don't have lockers unfortunately but all in all I enjoyed my stay at Barkston Rooms

Very convenient. No troubles whatsoever. Check-in was stress free, and the room was the good-end of what you might expect for how low budget it was. Take a towel, shampoo etc as not supplied. Microwave and kettle shared between around 3-4 rooms. Room was spacious and clean, bed comfortable, hostel was quiet at night and in a nice corner of the city. Recommend

The staff was very nice, it was really nice to have a lounge room. Our room was way WAY far from the reception and the tens of steps we need to drag our luggages with wasn't a bit fun. The bathroom was rather clean for a hostel, but that was all the 'clean' you could get. Bedroom was carpeted and dirty, there was a roach in the bedroom when I was there. The bed had lumps on them that would make your back ache in the morning. and don't get me started on the kitchen... worse EVER.. no one cleans, they just cook and leave everything behind. These are the things you'd find nice at Barkston: -Laundry area plus dryer, I didn't try them so I'm not sure if you need to pay extra. -Microwave -Dirty cooking area -Clean bathroom, I heard staff cleaning it in the morning -Computers and internet, but there is an hourly rate to use it. -Sink inside the bedroom, I just always find this practical. -Television in a lounge area -Fridge

I enjoyed my stay at Barkston Rooms. The people were very friendly and the rooms were reasonably clean. Only problem was at breakfast. One of the breakfast staff did not want us to use the pots as we had not ordered a breakfast. It is a hostel and not a hotel. I expected to be able to use the kitchen facitities

A budget place for backpackers to stay in London. Location is near to the tube. Supermarkets, cafes and post office are nearby

I have stayed at Barkston Rooms twice in the last couple of months and found the staff very welcoming and polite. Although the rooms and bathrooms could be somewhat cleaner I think that what you get for your money is satisfactory and the beds are surprisingly comfortable! I will definitely stay here again in the future as it is an ideal location and great value

Very clean, tidy and friendly. Was basic inside but very satisfied. Amazing price and also owners/staff seemed lovely people. Barkston Rooms is highly recommended

Bakrston Rooms is a nice London hostel. The staff is really kind and help you where they can. All right, maybe they should renovate their bath rooms, but the hygiene is very good. I recommend Barkston Rooms to all who want to have a cheap stay in central London

This is basic accomodation, ok if you need to stay in London on a budget. Our room was clean and reasonably comfortable. Not a bad location, handy for public transport into the City

Very good location, nice staff, very basic rooms, loud in the evening hours, but good value for the money
