Fun in London this February 2013:
Karaoke, Forest Hill
Deep down, we all think we're the next Michael Buble or Rihanna, even if it is just in the shower or in front of the mirror with a comb clenched tightly in our fists. So why not test out your pop star potential in front of a keen audience of pubgoers with some Friday night karaoke?
The Railway Telegraph in Forest Hill will see DJ Smokey spinning the sing-along hits from 21:00.
Cabbages and Frocks, Marylebone
One of London's more unique markets, Cabbages and Frocks in Marylebone is a great place to kill time and pick up some goodies on a Saturday afternoon. Created by the organisers of the London Fashion Designer Sales, it combines organic continental and British foods with clothing and accessories.
Expect to see quality olive oils, cupcakes, breads and cheese alongside the best wares from new designers and cottage industries. Head down to St Marylebone Parish Church Grounds from 11:00 to 17:00 to see what fantastic treats you can pick up.
Super Bowl Sunday, Hoxton
One of the biggest days in the US sporting calendar, Super Bowl Sunday is starting to make waves in the UK too, as more and more people in Britain discover the joys of American football. Why not see what all the fuss is about by heading down to Roadtrip Bar and The Workshop in Hoxton on February 3rd? Tuck into the time-honoured American food of choice, hamburgers, and wash them down with some ice cold US lager while watching the Baltimore Ravens take on the San Francisco 49ers.
The time difference across the Atlantic means the build-up begins at 22:00, and you can expect a late finish in the small hours of Monday morning, as the Yanks do like to draw these landmark events out.
