The County Hotel is very strategically placed in the Bloomsbury area, with underground and rail stations nearby. The rooms are fine, but not en suite. However, breakfasts are excellent, with generous self-service choices, and rates very suitable for the budget-conscious.

Excellent location, old fashioned but good value for money. Good breakfast, pleasant dining room, good service and standard of cleanliness.

Well, it was very basic but the sheets were clean and I had a new-ish bit of carpet. A bit like a hostel. But they tried to find me a quiet room and I felt safe enough

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast, good value for a budget hotel. The building has a faded Art Deco charm and was probably last redecorated about forty years ago (apart for some recently refrbuished WCs, showers and baths in the front part of the hotel). I was staying in one of the rear wings which is sheltered from traffic noise, which could possibly be a problem at the front
