Barkston Rooms provides budget saving accommodation in Earls Court, within the heart of Central London. During your stay here you’ll find a number of local tourist attractions close by, as well as trendy areas like Earls Court, High Street Kensington and Gloucester Road. In the local area you can walk to the Science Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum and Natural History Museum plus Earls Court Exhibition Centre and Harrods in Knightsbridge.

You have the choice of a private single, double, twin or quad sized room at Barkston Rooms, or a bed in a dorm that sleeps between 4-8 people. All rooms have access to shared bathroom facilities and the accommodation also has WiFi access, a TV lounge, and a breakfast room! This is a really cheap option for your trip to Central London so don’t delay in booking now!

Attractions: You really couldn’t ask for a better location than Barkston Rooms, as you’ll find a selection of tourist attractions close by. Both Olympia and Earls Court exhibition centres are nearby, as is the Royal Albert Hall and the shopping in exclusive Knightsbridge (including Harrods). You’ll also be able to stroll to the Victoria and Albert Museum, Natural History Museum and Science Museum. To get around you can use Earls Court, High Street Kensington and Gloucester Road tube stations.

Directions

By Tube: The nearest tube station to Barkston Rooms is Earls Court, served by the District and Piccadilly lines. Gloucester Road and High Street Kensington tube stations are also close by.

On Foot: Barkston Rooms is only a 4 minute walk from Earl's Court Tube Station (District and Piccadilly lines) and only 8 minutes from Gloucester Road Tube Station (Circle, District and Piccadilly lines).

Leave Earls Court Tube Station, exit onto Earls Court Road and start walking to your right. Turn left into Barkston Gardens and follow the road round until you come to number 1, where Barkston Rooms is located.

Great price! Stayed in an 8 bed female dorm room with private bathroom (Room 1302H - 2nd floor of main building) Really appreciated the private bathroom as didn’t like the idea of sharing a bathroom with the whole hostel. Room was clean and bathroom was very modern, however there was no mirror! Not in the room or the bathroom! EIGHT ladies in a room with NO MIRROR! HORRENDOUS!!! Hahaha, it wasn't too bad as I had a personal mirror but it’s definitely needed. Will give a rating of 4/5 as there’s no lock on sliding bathroom door, shower leaks a little and there’s motion sensor lighting that switch on when door is opened but also switches off after a few minutes of inactivity (eg: sitting on the toilet lol or in the shower cubicle) You have to wave for the light to switch on again. Quite annoying whilst showering having to open cubicle door to wave light back on! But I guess saving energy/the planet is the most important aim afterall! Would definitely book Barkston Rooms again

Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were cleaned and bins were emptied everyday. Only thing wrong is there wasn't always soap in the toilets but other than that a really good cheap place to stay, I would recommend Barkston Rooms

The rooms were okay but what is expected for a cheap London hostel. We booked a 4 person room but upon arriving they only 2 beds available in 2 different 4 person bedrooms, so instead they gave us our own double for no additional cost. So that was great and very nice. The outdoors was a little loud with cars passing by during the night and people outside but when it got later it got quieter. Overall, it is good if you need a cheap place to stay for the night or if you are barely in the room

I enjoyed the stay at Barkston Rooms. It's very clean when it comes to showers and toilets. The only thing that I didn't like- there is too many people in one room (you don't have to add additional bunk bed in). Thank you
