I enjoyed my stay at Alexander Fleming House because you get what you see in the picture. A quite, clean single room in a 6 bedroom apartment with a big kitchen and 2 bathrooms.

The area is ideal for everyone who wants to be central, close to transportation and to those interested in the hip east side of London. If you're travelling and looking for a fun hostel to stay this might not be the ideal place because there is no common area (although you can meet people in the long checking in line).

The only thing I was not particularly happy about were the check in/out times. You can store your luggage if you want, which is a bonus but not being able to get into the room before 2 pm (excluding standing in line for 30 - 60 minutes to check in) is not ideal. As a tip I would suggest going through the process of checking everyone in and then only letting them pick up the keys at 2. The long queues really are annoying to anyone who's travelling or there for other reasons.

Other than that I'm very happy to have chosen Alexander Fleming House

Alexander Fleming House is a great place to stay for a great price, considering it's so close to Central London. My only complaint is the doors of adjacent rooms are very noisy which kept waking me up, so my advice is to take some ear plugs. Apart from that it's a great place to stay, I'll be returning

My bedroom was clean, kitchen is very basic but clean, bathroom is also clean but no light on my last day. My only complain are the doors. They are quiet heavy so when people who are not very considerate opened it and just let it shut by itself, it made a lot of noise and it vibrate through the building - very annoying and kept me awake.
