I'll start with the good things. It was literally next to the Kings Cross underground Station which was perfect & very good value for a London location. Quiet, warm room & bed sheets were clean. Bad things unfortunately that there was water dripping down onto the floor from cracks in the ceiling and also onto my bed & the provided towel; so I had to use a pillow case as a towel. The plug socket in the room didn't work so I could not charge my phone to be my alarm in the morning and given the fact I had work in a few hours it was really distressing. The man did come knock for me at 7am as requested though, thankfully. The shower had a dribble of water coming out so that wasn't much good but I did get 3 hours sleep here, which what I required so it fulfilled its duty.

The hotel was very basic. What would be expected of a 2 star. My only real complaint would be the general noise. Seemed like an old building lots of creaky floorboards and banging doors. This and thin walls mean I had to use earplugs. Free wi-fi and tea and coffee were a nice complimentary element. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful.

I only stayed for 8 hours between changing trains. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would stay again in the same hotel
