A perfect base for central London. This hotel is very good. Redland Hotel was just ok. We had ensuite shower so it was good

To be honest the Redland Hotel was not the best hotel I have ever stayed in by a long way, but, it was basic and clean enough. Really you get what you pay for. But, if you were to pay for location, it should be a lot more expensive. That definately made it for me

Bit of a dive but quiet and functional - excellent location too.

I stayed one night at the Redland Hotel recently, and sadly was not impressed. While the bed linen and towels were clean, the hotel itself was old, crumbling and very shabby. There was also the distinct smell of damp, which was very off-putting. I was feeling very ill when I awoke on the Sunday morning, and as a result never even sampled the breakfast. The shower tray in the shared bathrooms quickly filled with water and began to leak meaning I had to have a very quick shower. Not impressed at all and would not recommend to anyone.

You should not stay at this hotel. The hotel is badly in need of basic maintenance. The beds were hard and lumpy and the rooms were not very clean. Breakfast was white bread for toast and 2 cereals and instant coffee - very basic. The staff were friendly and it is a nice neighbourhood, but that did not make up for its other shortcomings.
