I stayed two night in this hotel whilst attending a trade function at Hackney Town Hall. Room nicely warm and clean, no hair dryer although I was told that there is one downstairs in reception (which I used the second day), person citing that too many hair driers had gone missing with people....something I find rather strange when most or all pay via credit cards and having taken something from the room might well incur the cost of replacement of missing item..... The Bathroom was freezing cold, no heating whatsoever....in the morning I had to wedge the door open in the mornings to heat up the bathroom from the bedroom.....can't the bathrooms have a radiator? The sink was very dodgy with maintenance needed to the sink drain as water was not draining away quickly, also the taps did not offer a normal flow of water. There were two very small bars of soap and two equally small shampoo bottles....hardly anything to crow about. Staff helpful and friendly. I know it's a budget hotel, and used it to be close to Hackney Town Hall, but just a little maintenance would make for a perfect review

Value for money. You get what you pay for at City Inn Express, which is low end accommodation in London. I was pleased with my stay considering the area
