It is what it is a budget London airport hotel so don't expect the Ritz, you get what you pay for, it was clean and staff were helpful
Room was a good size with two single beds for me and a friend. Shared bathroom was kept clean. The only down side was the decor was very shoddily done. The lino in the bathroom was badly cut out and not stuck to the floor and little things like that but as a budget room, Heathrow Lodge was fairly acceptable in all.
Simple but clean accomadation near heathrow. Great value for money. Big plus was the free shuttle service to the airport
My mother and I recently spent the overnight from 1st May 2016 to 2nd May 2016 at the Heathrow Lodge and were very satisified with our stay and would certainly be happy to book there again. We booked a twin room with ensuite bathroom. The room was spacious, bright and clean and tidy. A second pillow each might have been helpful as would a bedside lamp but otherwise no complaints. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had phoned in advance to explain were were travelling down overnight from Scotland and would be arriving early in the morning and would like to check in as early as possible, deposit the luggage, freshen up and spend the day in London. They arranged for us to check in at 10am and were good to their word. The village of Longford was delightful and such a short distance from the airport. It had at least a couple of quaint pubs but by the time we got back from London we were too tired to make use of them. The free 423 bus was of major use to us, stopping very near to the Heathrow Lodge and saved us a fortune in taxi fares. I picked the Heathrow Lodge because of its location and low price and was very happy with my choice. Yours sincerely Paul Gillespie
I liked Heathrow Lodge. For a cheap hotel it couldn't be cleaner. The staff are friendly and helpful too. Ignore reviews that say it's impossible to sleep because of planes, aircraft are only a problem during daylight hours so unless you want to stay in bed all day it shouldn't be an issue. The hotel lost a star for two reasons. The first is it would be nice to have an optional breakfast as there are no shops nearby and food at the airport is overpriced. The cost of the breakfast could be separate from the room charge. The second reason is there needs to be more "Watch your Head" signs about. Some of the doorways are quite low, including into the bathroom, and I ended up with a small lump on my head (I'm 6ft 4in). But overall very good, so I will definitely book Heathrow Lodge again.
