The best way to get to Generator Hostel is to take a tube to Euston Station, which is a 5-10 minute walk away. Euston is on the Northern and Victoria lines of the London Underground.
Generator Hostel is only a 4 minute walk from Russell Square Tube Station (Piccadilly line) and only 6 minutes from London Euston Tube Station (Northern, Victoria, London Overground and London Midland lines).
Exit Euston Station and turn left onto Euston Road. Walk down this road until you get to Mabledon Place, where you’ll see a travel agent on the corner. Turn right here and continue straight on through Cartwright Gardens and on to Marchmont Street. When you come to the Snappy Snaps photo shop, turn left onto Tavistock Place. You will soon see Generator Hostel on the left – there is a sign in the window.
The greatest benefit to me was its proximity to Euston station - I arrived at 3 and left at 6.00 to catch the first train north. Service was good and check in was possible after midnight. The bed was comfy, power sockets available and it seemed as though there was plenty of activity around the place when we arrive. Check out was straightforward as well. Would recommend Generator Hostel to a friend
Generator Hostel was impressive. Very clean and well run. Food was tasty and cheap however the service with the food was slow
Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Rooms were clean and tidy. Would recommend Generator Hostel as it's very central
Really friendly atmosphere and staff at Generator Hostel. Clean rooms, toilets weren't as good, but everything else was really good
Nice London hostel, very clean, very central (5min. Walk to Kings Cross) breakfast is ok, very polite and helpful staff and the interior-design is quite stylish.,But 4GBP for a towel(which didn't work!) Again 4GBP for a padlock, sorry that's not cool at all and the visitors-policy reminded me at a monastery
