Turner House

Turner House located in the central zone was originally opened in 1966. All rooms are single-occupancy and bathroom facilities are shared.

This six storey block is one of six similar tower blocks on the site. Four of them, including Turner, have been refurbished and upgraded during the last two years, and are now to all intents and purposes new residences, with bedrooms equipped to a high standard.

Edinburgh Castle, The Palace of Holyroodhouse, Arthur's Seat, Salisbury Crags, Scott Monument, Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre and the world famous arts festival.

By Plane

Edinburgh's International Airport has direct flights from a number of European centres. There are regular flights to and from London, and visitors from North America can fly direct to Glasgow (40 miles) from Edinburgh

By Train

The nearest mainline train station is Waverley Station in the centre of the City. By Car

The King's Buildings Campus can be accessed from the A701 from from the City Bypass (A720) until it becomes Mayfield Road. Entrance gates 3 and 4 can be found on Mayfield Road with entrance gates 1 and 2 on West Mains Road. Visitors using the A1 can approach the University following the City Bypass (A720), turn off at the A701 junction until it becomes Mayfield Road (The Science and Engineering Faculty) and continue straight ahead until through Causewayside until you reach the central area

By Bus

Take the following buses to the city centre from Dalkeith Road (A68) near Pollock Halls. 2, 2A, 7N, 14, 21, 29, 30, 33, 82, 85, 88, 95, 96, 131, 134, 145, C3, C11
