Very basic, I had no hot water, was on 4th floor and lift out of order. Good job I only stayed 1 night. On the positive staff were friendly, although quite a few couldn't understand what I was asking of them. They tried their best. Very good for back packer, younger people and in an emergency

The stay wad a very pleasant one. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. However, there was not hot water for pre-breakfast showers each day and the food at breakfast consisted of white bread for toast and cornflakes for cereal: stodgy and unhealthy. In addition, the snack bar was closed at early evening meal time in spite of an OPEN sign from the roadside.

I spent three days in this busy hostel with 270 beds and it was quite noisy. We were in a bedroom with 20 beds and only 1 shower and toilets in the room but it was not so dirty, The breakfast was simple - toast, butter, jam with tea or coffee. Its location on the Circle Line is great and it's one of the cheapest hostels in central London.

My family and I enjoyed our four nights stay at this hostel in London. It is easily accessible by train and by bus. They do not have unfriendly rules. The shared rooms we used are ok but they can add few basic things to make them more conducive. They should put at least one chair for guests to rest on after a long tour of London. Hooks are also necessary for hanging coats and jackets as the weather can be wet. One last thing, they should try to provide a variety of breakfasts

Good location near the subway, rooms lacked some wardrobe or table, where you can put your clothes. Breakfast was quite poor

For the money that I paid, there was not much to complain. I had read a number of frightening reviews about facilities, boarders and the staff. The reality was far better, thankfully. But there are certain problems as well. I stayed in a room for 4 and it was just too cramped. Also, the electric sockets stopped working from the second day. The en-suite lockers are quite insecure. So one has to pay 2 pounds/day extra to keep one's stuff safe. And the breakfast is really meagre. So one needs to think long and hard before committing to this choice. If you have faced hostel life and know what you are in for, the it shouldn't be a problem

Stayed with a friend for 2 nights to go to the Hyde Park concerts. After reading some of the reviews I got a little worried and wasn't expecting very much but its fine! Twin room overlooking the park with flat screen tv, tea and coffee making facilities, small ensuite and fresh towels every day. It's a little dated and worn but we found the staff welcoming. There's a small breakfast room with cereal, toast, small selection of hot food tea coffee etc and its fine for a short stay that doesn't cost the earth
