Old Friend Hotel is easy to find. Service is decent. Room is a bit small but sufficient enough for 3 days. Toilet is ok. Overall, the place is not as bad as the one you see in reviews on another website

I was quite worried when I saw reviews for Old Friend Hotel but it was actually fine. My room was nice and clean and the bathroom was clean too. Receptionist was friendly. The only bad thing was there's no parking. It was also easy to find.

Good place to stay when on a budget but the staff were rude and it’s a bit grotty. Bed was small and the breakfast was basic. Bring own towels is advised.

OldFriend Hotel is officially judged as 2 star; more like 3 star. Stayed 4 nights at Christmas. All the other guests seemed as content as me. Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable and secure. Couldn't fault it for the money.

I am always a bit scared when I walk into a hotel/hostel situation (I picked a single room with shared bathroom) BUT I was welcomed by friendly staff, a very clean bathroom, a clean bedroom - a proper East End joint! I was 100% happy! Great location as in London's East End, the TRUE London. A walk down Roman Road into Bethnal Green Road you then hit Brick Lane and the City of London BLISS! Thank you and I will be back again

I liked staying here because it was a nice, small hotel. It was however a bit difficult to find as there was no sign or clear name of the Hotel (Old Friend Hotel) but I had a clean, warm and comfortable room. Very good value for money

A nice little London hotel about 5 minutes away from the Bethnal Green tube station. The rooms are neat, of (maybe slightly above) average size in this price range. The bathrooms are quite spacious in my opinion, which was a welcome change. All in all, I had a very pleasant stay; just two little things bothered me - the temperature in the fridge in the shared kitchen was set to so low, it may as well have been a freezer, and wifi was only available in the public area of the hotel, which is outside (under a roof, plenty of seating provided), but there were no outlets (my laptop's battery life is about 15-20 minutes, meh). Would definitely stay at Old Friend Hotel again, provided I had a better laptop or a cellphone with wifi
