Built in 1898, this landmark hotel is one of the capital’s most impressive Victorian Gothic-style buildings. Its prime location, in the heart of Bloomsbury and overlooking Russell Square, is as picturesque as it is convenient for many of London’s premier attractions. Le Meridien Russell has 371 private bedrooms, varying in style and luxury, all with direct dial telephones, colour TV, movies, Playstation, hairdryer, iron and trouser press. Standard rooms have recently been refurbished with classic décor and air-conditioning. There are three restaurants, the Kings Bar and Lounge for afternoon tea or evening cocktails; the Fitzroy Dolls Bar/Restaurant, and the Virginia Woolf's Restaurant. Benjamin's Bar serves drinks and snacks.
