It's cheap, warm and provides a roof overhead

At first glance Kings Cross Budget Rooms looked dreary and somewhere I personally would not like to stay. The outside looked shabby and scary, we even considered not entering. However, once inside although the "office" looked like an abandoned bedroom, our room itself was cosy, warm and clean. We were given the choice of two rooms, one of which was in the basement and had an eerie sense to it so we opted for the smaller of the two, situated on the second floor. The people in charge were friendly and we didn't hear from them or see them much throughout our stay. The bathroom was average as due to the astonishingly low price our expecting standards were not set too high, however I still felt that the bathroom was not a place I could take a shower and so I only used it for the toilet. There were scaffolding's outside the building making the place look a whole lot worse than it could have looked and the painters were outside our bedroom window throughout the day and in the morning. This did not bother us too much as we just hoped that the paint being applied to the front of the building would enhance people's first impression of Kings Cross Budget Rooms. In conclusion for the small price we paid it was adequate but more online pictures would have been helpful. Also, if the bathroom and front of the building were improved I truly believe a lot more people would choose to stay overnight at this hotel

Kings Cross Budget Rooms is only 5 minutes from Kings Cross. The rooms are nice and warm, there's free wi-fi, but the bathrooms need upgrading.
