The room was very basic, warm and the bed was clean, the shower did run away, so water everywhere. Lights broken, and the public areas generally very untidy. A little noisy in the early hours, but did sleep quite well. Breakfast not to my standard, continental breakfast consisted of 2 trays of sliced bread, one white and one brown, and a toaster to do your own, there was plenty of butter and preserves, and a choice of apple or orange juice, cold coffee also added to the poor breakfast. It would be better not to offer this . Would not stay again, but what should I have expected from a 2* hotel.

Inexpensive hotel with clean sheets, TV, coffee and tea making facilities, hair-dryer, sink in room with hot and cold water. For London, relatively quiet (I had requested a quiet room if possible). Smoky smelling, don't know if a non- smoking room would have been available. Might be worth asking. Wobbly electric sockets, had to balance electric kettle on TV for flex to reach socket. Saggy mattress, one flat pillow, one furry counterpane but no other blanket or quilt. Shared bathroom was a small cubicle up a stair and with only two small hand towels supplied. I decided not to use it

A basic room, but clean and tidy and well-presented. The staff are friendly and helpful

A wonderfully located, clean, value-for-money hotel in Bayswater. Close to shops, restaurants, well-connected to tube stations at Queensway as well as Bayswater. Charming, welcoming staff. A decent continental breakfast is included in the rate

Overall adequate. Rooms a bit in need of refurbishment. Some of electrical goods antiquated, communal toilet - massive mould growth bottom of toilet. Friendly welcoming staff, breakfast a bonus and more than adequate. Nice area. Probably even though in London, not worth 35 a night £25- £30 more realistic

Excellent location! But not good facilities?

Staff were very helpful and hotel was in a good location and good value. The only problem was that my TV did not work when I checked on my return in the evening at about 11.30 pm - I should have checked earlier I suppose

Although the reception area was quite grand, the rooms were a little poor. It was noisy (doors slamming throughout the night) and security in rooms - (door locks/windows) poor; there seemed to be a drainage problem when we stayed as there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom. It was also very hot although having a fan in the room helped. Bedding and bed was clean and comfortable

Hyde Park Whiteleaf Hotel is centrally located, easy to find, and clean. There were several issues with the two rooms we had; however, they were remedied quickly. Desk staff couldn't be nicer. For a place to sleep at night, ok value for the dollar

The hotel was a bit worse than expected, and we did not expect much. The location was good but the room was a mess. There were no sheets or pillow cases on arrival. The towels were removed but not replaced, twice. Maybe they ran out on room number 01 :) The breakfast is basic English one with toast and marmalade. No value for money on this one
