I thought the rooms were very small but guess it was okay for the price. Again the breakfast was okay but very limited to what choice there was. For attracting customers some modernisation would be a good idea e.g. painting and tidying up the rooms. The best thing was the TV but again we couldn't get all channels available. But it was a clean experience at least

Very basic. My single en suite room was extremely small, and hardly enough space to turn around in shower. Found light fitting hanging off wall, carpet was ripped, tap broken. However staff were polite & helpful. Definitely a case of you get what you pay for!

Grapevine Hotel is in an Ok location, 5 minutes walk to Victoria Tube Station and bus routes. Room and bathroom very small but comfortable, you get what you pay for. Bedding is a bit shabby but it does the job. Basic but nice breakfast, and helpful day staff

Hotel room was clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. I felt like I was climbing in and out of the bathroom everytime I went in there but it was fine. I would stay in this London hotel again

Firstly the Grapevine Hotel was closed as notice directed guests to Olympic Hotel round the corner. Secondly, I had booked a room for 3 with ensuite - when we reached our room (difficult to enter - had to push the single bed diagonally into the room to open the door) it was not ensuite. Toilets etc were either up or down a floor. Went to Reception to be told room we were to be allocated had had leaking windows, due to the rain the last few weeks which were being repaired, so the room would not be ready for occupation til the following day. We were offered a full refund but we said we had no time to search for alternative accommodation which would be difficult for 3 people so were offered a discount to cover the inconvenience which we accepted. The room was a very tight squeeze for 3 people, at the front of the building so could hear all the traffic noise. The bed linen and towels (1 large one each) were freshly laundered. Breakfast was measured out, just adequate to break the fast! Thirdly I cannot comment actually on The Grapevine - which looked quite smart on the outside compared to the Olympic. Both hotels were handy for the Victoria Apollo Theatre

Fairly cheap London hotel but decor was not quite finished, plaster splashed up one wall, loose carpet, putty on windows, smoke detector hanging from wire a foot off ceiling, bad TV signal unless you stood and held the aerial up, loose tile on floor which water came up through gap every time you trod on it and the door handle to the bathroom was on the window ledge. Outside was an advert for a chambermaid, this lack of staff was evident from the level of cleanliness in the room, carpet dirty, overall a bit grubby. Breakfast cereals were stored in large wooden containers, uncovered in a sideboard so we were put off having them having seen that the night before so we had a cold, not even fresh croissant, butter and jam, juice, tea and cold toast which i had to ask for more butter then 5 minutes later get myself. Credit card advert at reception says there is an ice machine available, I asked for some ice for my tennis elbow and was told there was not a machine, hotels really shouldn’t claim things they don't have. We did not complain at the time of paying as we were only there one day and had a coach to catch but I believe the overall standard was poor for the price paid and would have liked say 10 pounds refund as i believe 43 pounds was a fairer price, yes all the items are only little things but together all add up to take the shine off our stay in London

This is a real budget hotel. But staff are helpful and the continental breakfast is fine. Smallest room with a shower/loo I've ever seen and pretty smelly with damp causing it I think.

Our one night stay was quiet and comfortable. The room was very small and not as clean as it could have been. We actually called it our 'caravan' due to its size! However, the basics were all there, we slept well, and the breakfast was good. Good for a stopover, maybe not for longer than a night or two though!
