Great location, great building, very nice CLEANING STAFF, but really unfriendly staff: was quite better last year, staff members must be chosen for professionality. Hope will be better next year. I'll miss furnival house (not the staff!)

Staff should not laugh when customers make extensions of staying! Good building and congratulations to cleaners!

Good location, friendly staff, clean and quiet. Budget room standard comparable to youth hostel, low-priced single rooms

Furnival House is a good residence. My room was very comfortable, the bed too. The toilets, bathrooms and kitchens were tidy every day, so no problem with the hygiene. I think the price of the room is ok with the good quality. And Highate is a very peaceful place

I am 61 and love music/theatre staying for 6 nights. Room was large and well appointed with sink, wardrobe, drawers X2, desk and comfy bed (should have got name of bed and mattress!). There is a laundry, ironing board etc. but you may have to wait your turn. Usual wear and tear to carpets. Well equipped kitchen (shared). Toilet, shower room plus bathroom and toilet (all shared). One could be disturbed by the turn of the lock in a nearby room as sounds did travel easily. Handy car park too (bonus). The age group of tenants was eclectic. Some people were living and going to work from the rooms too. The area is quiet. Highgate Village is twee and the nearby Hampstead Heath is a plus with its parrots, ponds, Parliament Hill, Kenwood House, green space and general accessibility. And its free. For those using public transport into central London it is a long walk down the hill to Archway tube, which is the last stop in Zones 1 and 2, and it's a long way back. But with an oyster card or seniors bus pass you will soon discover the buses to catch in either direction which do have numerous stops on the way up/down the hill. I spent 6 days 'doing' the theatres and concerts. If you plan to go to the Royal Albert leave yourself a good hour there and same to return. Northern Line gets you into Leicester Square, perfect for the theatre goer. When I do this again I will utilise the same Univ. of Westminster accommodation but in Victoria. This is so much nearer the Royal Albert Hall and Central London venues. My travelling time would be greatly reduced but the room-rate increased

Enjoyed my stay. Kitchen very spacious and had everything I needed. Would be nice if I could have a key next time so I can lock my belongings in my cupboard. I will definitely be booking again in the future

The room, bathrooms and kitchen were kept beautifully clean and the kitchen was well resourced. Staff were very helpful and booking, both online and on arrival were very straightforward and quick. The location in Highgate was lovely and I will be recommending the experience to others

This is really a very good budget accommodation. It's quiet, spacious and comprises everything for a self-service. There is a nice backyard garden visited by squirrels at times

Very disappointed with noise (anti social)factor. Furnival House literature stress the need for minimal noise during day but especially after 11.00 pm. Why then, were groups of people allowed to congregate in the front car park with the subsequent noise, with security apparently oblivious to the situation, until I personally had to complain at 1.00 am on my first night? It was only then that the congregation dispersed inside! You may have thought that my second night would have seen "Security" act upon this? No, this time I had to go downstairs to complain....at 1.40 am!! Needless to say that this lack of sleep ruined my 3 day visit. My 3rd night...what a surprise...perfectly quiet with no congregations outside!
